It seems the moment that every single post I write for my blog starts with an apology with me not being able to post as often as I want to. I’m really sorry about this, however, I’m one of those few marketers who are actually practising what they preach and so I spent most of my time working on projects and websites rather than blogging about what I should be doing and not actually doing it.
This week, however, has been a little different. I spent a couple of nights in Newquay with my girlfriend Jane as we wanted to get away to the seaside where there was some big waves and so Cornwall was obviously the best choice. We made it down to Newquay in good time which gave us plenty of time to get in the sea and do some skimboarding and bodyboarding before the weather turned bad and the wind picked up which made it very cold even in our lovely warm wetsuits. We have been to Newquay a lot so we know where the best places to eat and to drink are and so we just potter about looking at all of the surfer shops and have a few beers throughout the day. It really is nice to spend that time unplugged and completely away from the internet except Twitter of course :-)
I’ve also been busy working on a new site but not any ordinary site. The site has been set up to help raise money for an English charity known as help for heroes. Myself and Jane will be cycling around 1500 miles down the UK stopping off at various national parks and places of natural beauty in the UK in a bid to raise money and awareness for this great charity.
The site where you can follow us not only the trip but also all of our training and you can track our progress and also having miles. We are doing in our training and whereabouts in the UK . We currently are.
www.1500miles.co.uk is the name of our site and for the last week or so I’ve been adding lots of content and planning the trip along with training and also getting the bikes ready for it. So this is the main reason why have not been working on creating posts for this blog and also not been doing a massive amount of work on my other affiliate projects.
So if you’d like to support myself and Jane in doing this challenge of cycling from John O groats to lands end. Doing approximately 1500 miles, then please visit our site and make a donation of any size to the charity of help for heroes.
